๐The sun is shining, but it's rather chillyโ
Still ploughing through the winter clearout. We often leave areas to meadow, it encourages wild flowers and lets nature do its thing. Over winter, this all needs a good clearout ready to thrive for the summer season.
What do we get up to when we're closed?
This weekend, inbetween rain showers, we've made a start on tidying up the dog walk and trees which line it.
Throughout summer the grass becomes a little overgrown around the trees and you'll be surprised what we find lurking in there...
Lots of tennis balls, tent pegs, a spatula, half burnt wood, nerf gun bullets, plastic wrappers, full dog poo bags, a carrier bag of ?*? not pictured. Mostly things have been blown in on windy days but a few things could have been taken to a bin instead of left in the long grass.
Beautiful walk today and on a clear day you can see Morecambe, Ingleborough and Whernside. Just under 3 hours, Twistlescar to chapel le dale circular walk.
What ever your ability, we have lots of exciting ideas for places to visit and things to see in the local area
Have you seen Benthams big stone?
