@parkrunUK The 250 milestone in the pic is out of stock for M L XL XXL. When will they be back in stock? The numbers approaching milestones are predictable. (and maybe don't put out of stock items in social media.)
@The_Lowlander Thanks for this very interesting podcast. My Dad who landed in Normandy in June moved to 108 LAA regt 52 Div in Sept 1945. He was from Dunston Co. Quite a few “Jocks” seem to have been English!
@The_Lowlander Thomas Hunter VC went to Tynecastle School in Edinburgh so some of the 52 Lowland Division may have known him

@joannasbarlow Agree but parkrun HQ doesn't encourage tourism as far as I'm aware. They've asked people not to swamp parkruns on Nelsons. Every parkrun website says to walk, jog, cycle or use public transport. Not much more they can do: they cant ban people in another town anyway parkrunning
@The_Lowlander For example, Roer Triangle was remembered for intense cold in 1945. The later map mentions the 1st British Div HQ in Germany. The 1945 image shows the troops on snow with white camouflage whereas in the later version they are shown wearing khaki.
@The_Lowlander I assume you have seen the souvenir heraldic map (by HM Ramsay?) sent to members of 52(L) Div in Sept(?) 1945. It often has a slightly different emphasis from the map published in “Mountain and Flood” but I assume it was what gave them the idea.
@CllrScottArthur Scott I am not a climate sceptic but I m curious. This is surface temperature. Do you know how much subsurface data there is. I read somewhere there is v little long term T data available for oceans . The truth might be better than this or worse.
@104GardenDesign @CllrScottArthur "There are 16 million cyclists in the Netherlands and the children there are educated
from an early age as to the correct way to cross tram tracks. "
@thecockburn It would probably be better for the artists and city if the fringe was a bit smaller. Too many good shows get an audience of 2. To make money after the greedy underbelly cut you ideally have one person
@KayleighFONeill@drgs100 Pavement parking winds me up, but it actually takes more effort to pavement park than park on the street so I think some of the pavement parkers think they are being helpful. If so council social media and signage as in your amendment it could be significant
@CllrScottArthur Its good that the box has gone. I don't know if this is a problem, but FYI this afternoon the cycle lane was still blocked by the buskers and their audience and gear. A Deliveroo cyclist went on the pavement to get past
@DigItScotland@F1tzy79@NtlMuseumsScot No idea, but here are some examples of bridle bits from about broadly similar dates
