Some teachers doing virtual learning at home may notice an incandescence coming through the window while teaching. It’s called “sunlight”. It’s always been there, but your ritual of arriving early in the morning and leaving late at night prevented you from ever noticing it.
@MathByTheMt Dreamed I successfully remembered to take Attendance for three classes, forgot to hit submit button on all three and was called into office 😂😂
You know how when someone you love is sick or has passed, you tell their family to let you know if there’s ANYTHING you can do?
Just imagine that the thousands and thousands of families of sick and dead people are asking that you just wear a mask in public.
It's important to remember that anger is a healthy response to injustice and mistreatment. So if you're feeling angry at the world right now, please support #BlackLivesMatter !!

I wanna share something my therapist said about ✨anger✨ that blew my mind:
"Your anger is the part of you that knows your mistreatment and abuse are unacceptable. Your anger knows you deserve to be treated well, and with kindness. Your anger is a part of you that LOVES you."
Yesterday @ShannonKiebler shared what is now my new favorite way to understand #BlackLivesMatter versus All Lives Matter:
Just because someone says "Save the Whales", it doesn't also mean "Screw all other mammals." It just means that whales need our help and attention right now.
I respect @robertkaplinsky for all he does for mathematics in our classroom instruction but my respect for his vulnerability to share his growth in awareness about racism and privilege...off the charts!
Check out what I saw on @robertkaplinsky's site: https://t.co/WEzxkqT4Bv
For all the parents/guardians out there with math anxiety who are suddenly finding themselves the new math teacher, check out this free 2 hour course (watch it with your kids!). https://t.co/XVS1OzR50y @joboaler
