@LibrarianRad@SoulCitySigma If you're talking about creating keywords, ask students about their topic/question and have them share with each other or the class what the main point or keywords are. I personally use jamboard or padlet for that type of thing as well
@LibrarianRad@SoulCitySigma Ask students as many questions as possible, some of the things you may want to explain they may already know or have ideas about. If you're demoing a database, ask them if they can see how to use certain limiters or expand their search and show the class.
I would have LOVED this as a high school student. Me majoring in African and African-American Studies in undergrad was based on how little Black history I got in my K-12 education!

As someone who didn't have a ton to begin with and was planning to pay them off kinda soon, this eliminates mine, and I'm more than thankful. But I realize it's only a drop in the bucket for many others.
JUST IN: President Biden announced that he will forgive up to $20,000 of federal student loan debt for Pell Grant recipients, and up to $10,000 for other qualifying borrowers.
Additionally, the payment pause set to expire next week is now extended through Dec. 31.
@akaur0@duolingo Earlier the better! I try to do it as part of my morning routine. I typically don't get out of bed right away, perfect time to do a lesson (although phones in the morning are bad, I know)!
@SoulCitySigma@luxlibrarian But the point isn't for others to see value in it (respect it maybe, or at least they should), it's something for us as Black people to see value in because we're advocating for ourselves where as you point out, other orgs clearly are not, even though we join other joint efforts
@jessinhtx As someone who watches practically all pieces of the universe.. this is an accurate label lol it covers all phases of the relationships, they watch each others shows, some people move from one into another.. definitely a universe
The irony of Juneteenth now is that the history is based on anti-Blackness and now people have reframed activities to be for โeveryoneโ erasing any spotlight on Black struggle and/or joy, schools are afraid to teach the truth, & many Black people dont even have Juneteenth off.
