Buckle in kids, while I weave yet another horrific cautionary tale of the horrors that is @SpiritAirlines …

(Spoilers: they are a greedy corporation that is trying to con me into buying two flights)

So I go to check in for my return flight to Detroit from Orlando airport;; flying @SpiritAirlines and I can’t access my boarding pass so I go to talk to an agent.

The agents at the Orlando airport were… meh. I truly think their job is terrible and all the angry people

So, the moral of the story is — don’t fly @SpiritAirlines (obviously), but if you must— hold onto your boarding passes for the whole trip bc they can just straight up claim you weren’t on your flight and kick you off your returning flight.

So I contact the customer service people. Come to find out that they are claiming I did not get on my flight to Orlando three days ago.

I was like no.. I’m here. But @SpiritAirlines has their customer service people outsourced to God knows where and all I got was

Fast forward two hours talking to these brick walls of human beings and one of them gives me a card with the information for @SpiritAirlines customer service

Ugh. At this point I’ve missed my flight home.

So I get to the counter to talk to them and they tell me things like “you missed your flight” and “there’s no booking” regardless of the fact that I had my confirmation numbers/receipts/proof of purchases and was shoving it in their faces…

yelling at them bc the policies and shiftiness of @SpiritAirlines is trash.

That being said, their service was underwhelming and I left my encounters with them utterly confused and not having been helped at all.

I know I’m supposed to suspend my disbelief in stories but I can NOT stay in a story where a young teen is wittier than me and dropping the wisdom of a well-lived aged elder !

Belief un-spended. Or whatever, you know what I mean.
