Warning: This Video Will Make You Angry
On October 31, 2022, in Lake City, Florida, legally blind Navy veteran James Hodges, then 61, was walking home after jury duty was canceled.
He was stopped by a female deputy (Jayme Gohde) who mistook his folded mobility cane for a handgun in his back pocket.
After Hodges requested the bodycam footage and filed a complaint, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office investigated. Sheriff Mark Hunter publicly apologized, calling the deputies’ conduct “unacceptable”.
Deputy Gohde received a two-day suspension without pay;
Her supervisor Sgt. Harrison (seen in video) was demoted, received a seven-day suspension without pay, and was barred from favorable actions (raises/promotions) for two years.
Both underwent remedial civil-rights training.
A later lawsuit by Hodges was settled out of court.
Hunter Biden: "Bitcoin is down from $120k to $60 k. He was the Bitcoin messiah. He did it like he does everything. He dirtied it, he muddied it. He launched a coin that's dropped in value from $75 to $1.36. And Melania did it. And Barron did it. The boys did something. They took money from the UAE and Saudi and all of a sudden they got a new jet that they get to keep it."
Carney: "I'm going to take this opportunity to thank President Scheinbaum and the Mexican people for sending 200 firefighters to help us with our fires here. That's what friends do when you have crisis and fires."
Disgusting, monstrous dude.
It’s also notable how viscerally he seems to hate Mackenzie Scott, who continues to indisputably prove that the wealth hoarding guys like Musk do is a (structural and personal) choice!!
THIS is how the media should handle power.
Zanny Minton Beddoes just showed how to interview Elon Musk. She didn’t defer, flatter, or let claims go unchallenged. She pressed for answers in real time; the kind of accountability powerful people should expect from every interview.
