One definite highlight from #apapnyc2023 was hearing Vu Le from @NonprofitAF. Lots of laughs mixed with a discussion of how to address inequities in the field and support one another.
Wonderful to hear some of the successes and lessons learned through the @SmithsonianFolk work related to cultural heritage! The value placed on collaborative relationships and listening to local knowledge and needs was inspiring.
First in-person conference since the start of the pandemic is in the books! Enjoyed seeing friends in Boston & taking part in conversations about how museums need to do more to work w/communities, listen deeply to staff, focus on & fund topics that matter today. #AAM2022#AAM22
Thanks @PorchiaMuseM for sharing how @MuseeOrsay was a place of "self-exploration+transformation." I can relate! And fully agree that museums should be spaces for people needing "respite, peace,+community." Wonderful keynote to help us reflect on practice #visitorstudies19
Really enjoyed learning about #appreciativeinquiry and how it is a method that amplifies strengths and comes at issues from a positive lens. Inspiring case study examples #visitorstudies19
