The MED-WET project has implemented constructed wetlands (CWT) in Egypt, to treat wastewater using natural processes involving plants, soil, and microorganisms. The treated water meets Egyptian standards and is currently used for irrigating non-fruitful trees and vegetation.
Today, the MED-WET Maltese partners, hosted a MED-WET event in which speakers from several sectors, were invited to share their insights and knowledge regarding aspects related to the environment, natural resources and the results of the project.

On the 22nd April, we celebrate Earth Day! There are natural resources which are becoming limiting, such as water, which are impacted by the different factors. Med-Wet promotes sustainability of the earth resources focusing on the use of water in agriculture!

🤝The aim of the AgriFair organised by MAFA, is to bring together major stakeholders within the various sectors including agriculture.

University of Beira Interior, has presented the Med-Wet project during the EU CAP Network workshop 'Circular water management’. Knowledge on circular water management was disseminated and exchanged whilst considering the reuse and recycling of water for agricultural production.
The Med-Wet partner, EcoGozo has been busy with the organisation of a workshop for farmers!
They showcased the SLECI and Solar Desalination Greenhouse technologies in Xewkija, Gozo.
Participants were enlightened about the advantages of these technologies for water conservation.
