I’m not saying the academy could study IQ rigorously. The modern academy is a sanctimonious racket. I am saying that the “realists” jump to the conclusion that population IQ differences (which do exist and matter) must be encoded in genes. They take it as an assumption, having no idea how weak that assumption is because they only ever square off with ideologues pushing the blank slate.
