It’s been a busy day #ILFAC23 catching up with colleagues, getting lots of ideas, being part of a panel discussion with some great librarians about using award books, and presenting about digital decluttering. Now it’s time to play trivia and listen to a swing band!

Year 23 is in the books! Today staff were busy cleaning rooms, finishing grades and tasks, planning for next year, and some even joined my digital organization workshops for tips and tricks on getting control of your inbox, computer, and Google Drive!

BREAKING: The Indiana Senate just passed SB 12, a book banning bill opening school librarians and teachers up to felony prosecution for having material a parent finds objectionable.

SB 12 would have a chilling effect on free speech in schools. The bill now heads to the House.

The last couple of days brought joy (and exhaustion). It was filled with learning, meeting new people, getting inspiration, laughter, stepping outside of my comfort zone, a few meetings, and catching up with librarian friends throughout Indiana. Until next year… #ILF2022
