I was watching an interview online today about radio vs streaming and just learned something that blew my mind.

Did you know foreign countries are holding onto money earned by American artists because the U.S. still lets AM/FM radio play music without paying performers?

I always assumed artists were paid every time their songs played on the radio given that streaming pays and satellite pays. Only Big Radio gets a special carve-out, which means the artist gets nothing.

I just learned from listening to @genesimmons that Europe is using that loophole to justify keeping even more money that belongs to Americans! To address this, a group of bipartisan lawmakers have introduced the American Music Fairness Act to stop American artists from being ripped off.

Seems like common sense.

Last year, Gene Simmons even testified in front of Congress about this issue. And funny story, I ran into him in the lobby of a hotel I was having a meeting at as he was leaving DC. He was very nice.

Why are we protecting radio lobbyists instead of American artists?

@realDonaldTrump has talked about putting Americans first and ending bad deals that hurt the American people. This seems like an issue worth taking a look at given that American culture and American entertainment is broadcasted all over the world.

American artists just like American innovators should be fairly compensated for their work.

🚨 19 noncitizens were charged in two swing states in one day, and Democrats still swear this never happens.

The DOJ charged nine people in Pennsylvania who knew they weren't citizens and voted in federal elections anyway.

HSI arrested ten more in North Carolina, including an illegal alien from El Salvador who crossed in 2022 and got released under Biden. Several of them voted in more than one election.
