In my latest article for @BroadcastBridge we visit Marconi's Poldhu Station, near my childhood home in Cornwall. But what does this have to do with why #media needs "The #Cloud" in the world of 2023...? Read on to find out!

@EngFocus@Conor435_ There's a third reason too: whilst this is an important local road link, especially for residents to the East, there's an alternative route via the A41. So keeping a bit of friction in the form of lights/wait time will help discourage through traffic from using it as a shortcut.
Possibly controversial opinion: The licence fee needs to die. If they're still trying to collect it in 2034 this will be a failure by any account.

@AntiWokePsych@SW_Help The trouble with these seasonal disaster days is that they're exactly the times folk venture out onto the railway who rarely do otherwise.
And then they go home saying "never again".
@SW_Help "To help you complete your journey" is terrible wording here.
You're not doing us a favour, you're fulfilling an obligation to get us to where we've paid to go, and we're suffering a 2 hour delay on a journey that was only supposed to take an hour.
Shambles.

@Swoody1500@Modern_Railways Yeah you'd have had to change from St Pancras to Paddington to make that journey, so a tube or a taxi. I get it. And CrossCountry would be better if a bit longer.
But getting from Newcastle to Brighton just involves a 50m walk over the road from Kings Cross to St Pancras.
