Three Christian villages have been spared Israel's demolition policy, but their residents are cut off from the rest of the country.

The Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) is trying to regain control over southern Lebanon through a US-backed framework meant to transition control of Lebanese territory currently occupied by Israeli forces — known as "pilot zones." CNN exclusively joined the Lebanese army on patrol to one of those areas. Jeremy Diamond has the story.

New footage shows the moment the bus came off the mini roundabout in Hayes, clipping a man crossing the road before going into the building. Somehow, the man got up and walked away. The bus carried on across the pavement and didn’t stop until it hit the wall outside the station.

One account from the scene says the driver’s brakes failed and he steered trying to avoid people in the road. That’s still unverified, and there’s no official word yet on the cause or on any injuries.

How that man walked off is beyond us. Wishing him and the driver well 🙏
