14 brilliant GPs, Carracci, Michelangelo, Dürer, John Wesley, Emperor Augustus and Sophia Schutz.
Tremendous afternoon thinking through questions of body, identity, personhood and perception.
Also laughing.
Many thanks to @AndrewSchuman for setting it all up.
I’m simply horrified to see @NHSEngland now literally breaking the law in how it misrepresents physician associates & other allied health professional - who are NOT doctors - to the public.

@AgnesAyton@AgnesAyton In your article, please could you explain what a ‘personal formulation’ is, as I imagine it will be a mystery to most GPs, and it’s central to understanding CBT-E
@AgnesAyton E.g Stage 1: meet with patient +/- carer to create personal formulation, provide education, and engage in treatment and change. This involves establishing a pattern of regular eating, ‘self-monitoring’ by keeping a food diary, and weekly in-session weighing.
@AgnesAyton Interesting how the pandemic accelerated this process in so many aspects of healthcare - often skipping stages 2 and 3. Thinking in particular of use of remote consulting - especially in primary care.
The response to our announcement has been overwhelming, with an outpouring of support and love for the service. Many people, including current and former patients as well as senior leaders and stakeholders, have shared stories of their experiences with the service and how we have impacted on their health, careers and in many cases saved lives.
On behalf of the team, we would like to thank everyone who has shown their support. It has meant so much to all of us.
We will keep you updated via our website when we know more, but please know that even if we are relatively silent, there are significant amounts of work going on behind the scenes.
We are very concerned about the changes to @NHSPracHealth services for secondary care staff from tomorrow. We know from our members and colleagues that support for clinicians is vital and leads to better patient outcomes. Investment in the welfare of the workforce is essential and must continue.
@ClassicFM Performed Sibelius 2nd symphony at the weekend, with the Radcliffe Orchestra in Oxford. Has to be right up there. We had fun in the trombone section!
For those of you watching the painful just-as it-was drama by @doctor_oxford@jed_mercurio & @prasannabanana
Dr Emma & Dr Ant are “junior” doctors. This is what they do.
Their pay has been cut by a third in ten years.
@RishiSunak is making them strike.
They deserve better.
Sleeping on the streets is NOT a lifestyle choice. We don’t have nearly enough affordable homes, rents are soaring and this is leaving people destitute and forced to sleep rough.
This is a consequence of poverty. And poverty in this country has been exacerbated by policy choices
@AgnesAyton@AnorexiaMyths Re referral from primary care can take 18-24 months… why bother? In some ways severity might improve chance of recovery after years of illness - as constantly in and out of specialist care…
