A reminder that the healthcare system would crumble without medical interns. It IS crumbling without the adequate staff to handle this third wave. Our colleagues are begging for more hands, but the department still fails to employ us.

About half of the original 290+ unemployed interns have still not received placement. The fight is not over until all doctors are placed! The department of health must fulfill their duty to place all eligible doctors @HealthZA

@Cmfundisi @HealthZA They have blatantly told us more than half of us will not be placed ! They’ve had since April to do all of this and yet they are only trying creating funds today - the day we were meant to start working - they have wasted our time

Today is the 1st of July, we applied in April, we were told the 11th then the 16th then the 25th of June and now the 1st of July that over 300 medical Doctors would have jobs and actively support our country during this pandemic @HealthZA we are still at home
