it’s wild how many people are showing up to tell me that actually this didn’t happen. When my grandfather died, my mom inherited $500. She used it to buy our family a pug and named it after my grandfather. Pete lived to be 15 years old
my grandfather ran a small machine shop when my grandmother got cancer. To pay for her treatment he sold their shop, their house, their cars, cashed out their retirements, spent every dollar they had. She died anyway. He died penniless on his bar stool a year later. Fuck you Ben
@cleverhandles @AaronPet7829664 my grandma was 52 and my grandpa was 55. it’s wild how many people are telling me one of the most formative moments in my life, one that happens all the fucking time to working class and poor people in this country, actually probably just didn’t happen. these people are demonic

All these dumb Americans who think socialized healthcare is the only metric that matters should go visit a cancer-stricken relative as they lay dying in an NHS hospital in Britain. I done that, friend, and it ain't whatever you think it is. It's not happiness and salvation.
@SamtheNightOwl I don’t even really post there anymore either, it was like my methadone clinic and I finally kicked the habit lol. been focusing more on reading, playing music, watching movies and raising my cats and it’s been a lot better on my psyche, would recommend it to anyone
