@Joe__Bassey Only in Nigeria” across 54 countries isn’t analysis; it’s nationalism in a graduation gown. You haven’t studied every African country, and “Ghana Must Go” demolishes your “never.” When one documented fact destroys your claim, pity the argument, not the person correcting it.
@markgoldbridge@rioferdy5 Apparently three games are enough to declare a United crisis, but not enough to acknowledge Bruno playing well. Fascinating methodology.
@markgoldbridge Apparently saying the squad is stronger now requires a thesis explaining exactly why, plus an account of why United didn’t spend more. Carrick is the manager, not the sporting director and finance department rolled into one. Calling that ‘classic deflection’ is reaching.
@markgoldbridge@SimplyUtd So Carrick saying his squad is stronger means he’s suddenly ‘backing a shit window’? What was he supposed to say; ‘Morning everyone, the window was rubbish and I don’t rate half the lads we just signed’? Carrick has a team to manage, not an outrage algorithm to feed.
These are the same pundits who wanted Morgan Rogers ahead of Jude Bellingham, so perhaps I’m expecting too much 😂. Apparently, the formula is simple: outrageous take + Manchester United = engagement. #talksport
⛔️ "There's certain clubs he wouldn't get in!"
🔵 "He wouldn't get in the Chelsea team... I'm going Palmer, Joao Pedro and Rogers!"
Tony Cascarino rejects the claim #MUFC's Bruno Fernandes gets in every Premier League XI! 🤷♂️
@talkSPORT Bruno Fernandes scores a hat-trick and talkSPORT’s response is to drag out the usual overhyped names and explain why they’re somehow better. Never mind the football in front of you, the agenda must be fed. Just rename the show ‘How can we disrespect Bruno today?’ 😂
@markgoldbridge@mufcMPB@FabrizioRomano United could sell Zirkzee for £100m and Mark’s first tweet would be ‘Chelsea would’ve got £110m.’ At this point Chelsea are his emotional support comparison 😂
@markgoldbridge You’ve spent so much time feeding on negativity that even someone suggesting a little perspective now needs ‘dismantling’ 😂 Rio didn’t say accept mediocrity. He said stop judging today’s United as though it’s still 2008. Those are two very different things.
@DannyQuilter2@markgoldbridge Mate, Ipswich haven’t even kicked a ball against us and you’ve already awarded them the win. At some point this stops being ‘having standards’ and starts becoming determined pessimism.
@DannyQuilter2@markgoldbridge See, now that’s an actual argument. We can debate recruitment all day. But calling anyone who doesn’t think the sky is falling after one game the ‘positivity brigade’ is a bit much.
@DannyQuilter2@markgoldbridge Criticizing a bad performance and declaring the whole project doomed after one game aren’t the same thing 😂. Apparently that distinction gets you membership in the positivity brigade.
@markgoldbridge Dude really thinks he’s Mr. United, like the entire club should be run according to his personal biases. I don’t even blame him entirely, social media has convinced some people that having an opinion means having influence. Bro needs to remember he’s a fan, not the chairman. 😂
@markgoldbridge Never played the game at any level, but somehow you’re an expert on someone who’s done it at every level. 😂 Rage-tweeting and baiting people for engagement has really convinced you you’re that guy.
That’s Africa’s World Cup over. Plenty of disappointment, but even more reasons for optimism. Morocco, Cabo Verde, DR Congo, and Egypt all showed they can compete with anyone. Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire will feel they left something on the table.
Cabo Verde lost 3-2, but what a performance. They pushed Argentina all the way and showed incredible heart. They should hold their heads high, they’ve made their country and Africa proud. 🇨🇻👏
