Parents – if you overcoach your kids, telling them what they did wrong every time they get in the car, you are breaking their ability to figure it out. Players who get bombarded by their parents end up doubting themselves so much more than those who have freedoms to figure it out
Wise words. Too many parents and kids have FOMO these days, and travel ball programs are happy to feed that fear in exchange for those checks from parents. Pick a program that puts your kid’s development FIRST, both on and off the field!
When we talk to our young guys about developing them as TEAM FIRST baseball players because that’s what colleges and scouts are looking for, this is what we’re talking about. From one of the great coaches in any sport 🗣
We couldn’t be happier for our longtime coach, Phil Byrd, for being named head baseball coach at Riverwood High School! Coach Byrd is a great leader of men and has been a core part of developing our team first, high character and high development program. Congrats Coach!!🚀🚀
We are pleased to welcome Coach Phillip Byrd as Riverwood’s new Head Baseball Coach. There will be a Meet & Greet for parents & players on Thurs. 6/30 at 6pm in the 2nd-floor atrium.
