@Medway_Council Cabinet considered the Councils dire financial position last night which we set out below.

1. There is NO PLAN to deal with the issue
2. It everyone else's fault #Austerity, #Brexit & #Truss
3. There was no accountability

@MedwayLabour Cabinet is applauding @vincemaple for his leadership for running up a £60M budget deficit.

The lack of accountability is breathtaking.

It is clear there is no plan to keep @medway_council from a Section 114.

We asked Medway what it thinks. 324 residents answered. 63% are dissatisfied with how Medway is run, only 17% are satisfied. Here is everything they told us, including the awkward parts.

Four leaders asked what Medway should do about climate. None mentioned the line in the Council's own plan: its severe weather planning is currently primarily responsive.

Reacting is not a plan. Clear the gullies. Insulate the homes. Bond the developers.

Government borrowing costs matter to #Medway because the cost of our interest payments are 1/4% higher than the Government pays.

@MedwayLabour 3 year borrowing splurge is costing us all in lower levels of service, a shabbier Medway and the reduced ability to regenerate the place where we live.

Only @medwayfirst cares about your money.
