#socl214 While fighting for rights we need to get rid of anything that may cause a person to be discriminated against. ex. We can fight for LGBTQ+ rights but a person of color who is associated with them may still be discriminated against within the group or in the outside world.

Children raised in high salary homes are seen to have better SAT outcomes than children(mainly black and Hispanic) who are raised in inner cities. Major colleges also have fewer of these children attending because of the cultural and societal upbringings.

Unlike race,which is based on observable,physical traits, ethnicities aren’t. 2 people of the same ethnicity can be different races. Minorities are people who are set apart by physical differences no matter how big the population of them may be. #socl214
