@OmairTAhmad I saw the story on @anubhabhonsle ‘s NewsWorthy and was wondering the same. We must not forget past atrocities. (Not getting into the current ones happening every day ☹️) But a different way of telling history would have been better.
@WiseDonkay Exactly! They’re criminals; yet worshipped as heroes for what they do on the field/court/ring wherever. And the narrative when it comes to sexual assault/rape is that the survivor was looking at a “money grab.”
@WiseDonkay But this is just the problem. People are willing to ignore, forgive, forget - the likes of CR७ and म@mब@ - because goals, play, MVP status and championship titles “inspire” and “thrill” fans.
@SoKneeOh Glad you feel that way. I don’t find your article offensive, just a little stupid. It’s like putting Gulzar’s words through Google translate. The lyrics, btw, are by the late Gireesh Puthencherry - an award winning screenwriter and lyricist, and one Malayalam cinema’s best, IMO.
Cheer for Gal Gadot taking a strong stand against sexual harassment and Brett Ratner (https://t.co/yaaS738RIR) while frowning at her being pro-IDF (https://t.co/7yZWITY33i).
