They called her a DEI hire.

Mark Wayne Mullin has a high school diploma and a 2 year community college degree in construction management, no military or law enforcement service, and was a cow-calf rancher. He was nominated by Trump as the secretary of Homeland Security.

They have the caucacity to call this meritocracy.

I think one of the reasons the right-wing Christian Nationalists are coming out so hard against James Talarico is that they know his version of Christianity looks a whole lot more like Jesus than theirs does and they know people are catching on.

@MattWalshBlog I also see a connection to their understanding of their purpose. Toys are obsessed with belonging to someone. Jessie and Lotso felt like they’d lost their identity. Buzz despairs when he finds out he’s a toy and not a ranger, but recovers when he accepts that he belongs to Andy.

@TaraLynnSays I worked for BBV from 2000 to 2005. Right at the peak and the start of its downfall. Met my wife there. We had a Family Video in our town until 2021. Even my 16 and 11-year-old boys miss the fun of just perusing the shelves. There was no algorithm, just pure nostalgic moments.
