Nodal agency for implementing the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) under the aegis of the Community & Rural Development (C&RD) Dept, Govt of Meghalaya
Honoured to launch and partake in the 6th Meghalaya Saras Aajeevika Fair 2025 in Shillong.
Today we celebrate a quiet revolution led by women who are preserving our culture, driving economic growth, and uplifting entire communities.
In just seven years, the SHG Movement has emerged as a powerful engine of change. This movement didn’t begin with 55,000 groups. It began with one urgent mission: saving mothers’ lives. Faced with high MMR, we found clear answers: better nutrition, family planning, and women’s empowerment. From that mission grew a movement led by women, transforming challenges into opportunities.
