Shameful act to optimize for short term revenue increases and serve an adversarial nation in the most important race of our lifetime.
The only way models improve is through data. if you have the recipe on what data pushes the frontier and send that to China, you are doing a disservice to U.S. AI Labs as well as the U.S. government.
Beyond that, a large portion of datasets today require anonymized real operational data from U.S. companies. Selling such environments to Chinese labs means exporting U.S. company data directly to China at a large scale.
This must stop.
Meriden, CT police officer Anthony Offiaeli responds to a domestic violence call and sees Robert Lee Jenkins III (38) beating a man later identified as his father with a baseball bat.
Officer Offiaeli orders the man to drop the bat but he continues bashing his father's skull in prompting officer Offiaeli to open fire with his Gen5 Glock 17 from a distance of 3-7 yards.
Based on the footage, it seems the first 16 shots either were either all misses or *at best* non CNS hits. The 17th and 18th shots fired from less than 10 feet did stop the suspect and Mr. Jenkins III died on the scene saving taxpayers millions of dollars.
With all of that out of the way - this is completely unacceptable performance from the cop. LUCKILY no innocent bystanders were hit by all of his errant shots but in a different environment they certainly could have been.
This was about as easy as an officer involved shooting gets. The suspect wasn't shooting back. He wasn't moving laterally. He allowed the officer to close the distance and provided a huge torso target not behind cover nor concealment.
Train to be your own first responder accordingly...

The Atlantic: A senior U.S. official says early intelligence assessments indicate the latest wave of U.S. strikes has likely had little impact on Iran’s behavior.
From a Dallas resident visiting for USA vs. Belgium, in the Seattle Times:
“The buses are everywhere. The city is so walkable. You have one of the cleanest downtowns in America. This downtown is as incredible as any place in the world.”
World class city and state.
Today, America wakes 250 years later as a beacon of hope, a republic entrusted to its people, an idea that changed the world.
A nation worth preserving. A dream worth pursuing. A freedom defended by every generation.
Happy 250th, America! 🇺🇸
