Tomorrow I’ll be visiting St Martin’s Church, Epsom to give a talk on The Brathwaite Memorial. Created by John Flaxman RA, the memorial commemorates the enslaver John Brathwaite, who was born in Barbados in 1722 and died in Epsom in 1800.
