El gorila blanco de Guinea Española is based on a true story! The world´s only albino gorila. This is a story we all can relate to: being different, moving to a new place & growing up. Graphic Novel. Digital, full-color flip book with membership.

A short, graphic novel that first-year Spanish students can easily grasp. Written in the present tense, the book is built on a short list of verbs and common expressions. https://t.co/Wd8CPmd7Au
Thank you @CI_Iowa for an incredible conference! I'm taking away so much and you are all such friendly and gracious hosts. You're the best! Thanks again!
@MisClasesLocas challenge to #CIIA23: Take a look at your curriculum… Who is centered in the stories you share? How are they portrayed? Always room to grow
Read Kia D. London's post about representation in the language classroom, and then come and learn with @MaestraLondon at #Mitten23 next month! https://t.co/cDatnq2Iu4
@DiegoOjeda66 I want to use this book during our Somos food unit with my heritage students. I want to treat it like a guessing game. I’m hoping that I can read the poetry to them or have one of them read aloud, and they guess what food were talking about!
@alenord Honestly, depends on the relationship i have with the student. If I know they don’t trust, like or respect me…I am having a different conversation. I do not shy away from hard conversations and I work in a very liberal school . (Non answer?)
