I just want people to understand ONE thing about this whole Ed Sheeran and Macklemore situation:

HE WAS WARNED.

Macklemore did the Palestine bit on the first night in New Jersey. After that, he promised NFL owners he wouldn’t do it again. Then he did it ANYWAY on the second night.

And this wasn’t even his tour. He knew other people’s jobs, contracts, reputations, and livelihoods were tied to this. He knew people behind the scenes would have to deal with the fallout, and he STILL chose to do it. That was selfish.

So if you want to blame Ed because that’s easier than blaming the person who was warned and STILL made the decision to do it again, go ahead. But at some point, people need to take accountability for their own actions instead of shifting the blame onto everyone else.

And before anyone wants to act like Bob Kraft somehow overstepped, let’s remember one very important fact:

HE OWNS GILLETTE STADIUM.

He has every right to decide what happens inside a venue he owns.

Think about it this way: if someone comes into YOUR house as a guest, you give them the rules and they agree to respect them. If they knowingly ignore those rules, you have every right to tell them to leave. You don’t owe someone continued access to your home after they deliberately disregard your boundaries.

The same principle applies here.

At the end of the day, this is a business. Macklemore may be the internet hero right now, but internet applause doesn’t change the fact that he was warned, gave his word, and then broke it.

That makes him a liability.

People aren’t going to trust someone when they know he’s willing to deliberately make decisions that could put other people’s jobs and business relationships on the line.

You don’t get to break your word, ignore the rules, drag other people into the fallout, and then blame everyone else when there are consequences.

Life just doesn’t work like that. Sorry. 💁🏻‍♀️

And somehow Macklemore casts himself as the victim and Ed Sheeran as the villain.

He’s the HEADLINER. His name is on the marquee. His tour. His stage. His audience. His crew. His business.

Macklemore asked to join the tour. Ed said yes. He was handed a massive platform and an audience he didn’t have to spend years building.

And somehow the opener confused being invited with being important.

Sweetheart, there’s a reason you’re the plus-one.

You didn’t build the tour. You didn’t sell the tickets. You didn’t create the audience. You didn’t bankroll the production. You were invited to open the damn show.

So maybe don’t walk into someone else’s house, grab the microphone, hijack the room, and then act shocked when the homeowner tells you to leave.

Ed built his platform. He earned his audience. He sells out stadiums. He pays his people. He puts on the show.

The openers can keep chasing political applause and internet validation.

But being loud doesn’t make you the star. Being invited doesn’t make it your platform.

There’s a reason one name is in giant letters on the marquee.

And there’s a reason yours is nowhere to be found.
