Was getting my nails done in Arirang colours and the two nail artists recognised it immediately bc they’re army too.. and they were talking about how impossible it was to get tickets for KL. They were both unsuccessful but managed later from friends thankfully.

We just kept talking about the album and the songs. About merch. Giggling about how army sell everything out 😭They were so sweet. And then I find out they’ve both been army since 2019. Both Hobi biased!

Naturally I asked if they saw him last year but they couldn’t make it and I kinda just— idk. My heart broke a little. They couldn’t go to D-Day either. Both tours being in Singapore and i guess it just wasn’t feasible for them.

So before I left, i remembered my HOTS guitar picks. The only 4 I had left. A complete set that I’ve carried with me all the time. I gave them 2.

Almost killed me to separate them from the set. These picks travelled with me to see Hobi. I had them when I met him. They travelled with me to Seoul for my first ever Festa in SK. Was with me when I welcomed joon, tae, jimin, jungkook and yoongi home. When I saw 7 at the encore show. They’re trivial things, yes but they carry so much meaning. And these 4, I never intended to part from them. They were always my set.

But the girls were so moved to receive them. One of them almost cried. Which made me tear up too. So I was happy to see them go to army who I know are gonna cherish them.

Just thought I’d share bc it made me think about my own privilege. Sometimes it gets lost on me how lucky I am. You know? Like I witnessed D-Day. Hope on the stage. I got to see them for festa last year. I’m going to Busan. I have LA. I got KL. I met my bias for goodness sake.

Like I was so devastated yesterday bc I couldn’t get tickets that I wanted for the dates I wanted at the section I wanted and today, I’m reminded I’m actually extremely lucky. So lucky. I needed that reminder. I needed that reality check.

Please don’t take this as a brag. It’s not. I’m just pointing out that sometimes our perception gets skewed. Mine definitely did.

So anyway.. yea. That’s been my day. Sitting here, typing this while trying not to burst into tears in this cafe while I wait for my mom to be done with her appointment. Crazy.

These are the only two I have left now. They’re most likely never leaving my side though 😂 I’m too sentimental.
