Armistice Day: 11am on Tuesday 11th November 1919, vast crowds in London observe the very first 2 minute silence for those killed in the Great War. The men have removed their hats out of respect for the fallen. (I originally colourised this photo for the Evening Standard in 2019)

You must reject it.
Newquay surfing 78 years ago: This fantastic photo of three British munitions workers taking a surfboarding break from the rigours of their war-work, at the Cornish coast in September 1943. It is original colour, not colourised.
