PSA: DO NOT PAINT YOUR BRICK HOUSE ALL WHITE.
People out here committing CRIMES against their BEAUTIFUL, SUN-WEATHERED, HISTORIC brick, and you cannot take it back.
Try painting your shutters first. Or do some landscaping. Or literally anything else.
I’m just here to point out how devastating these quotes/replies (not the tweet itself) are for someone like me.
Someone who desperately wanted to be married in their 20s.
In trying prove this guy wrong (why??), you were telling people like me that the dream is certainly dead.
I’m no psychologist, but I’d love to quickly clear something up:
“Introverted” ≠ hates people
“Extroverted” ≠ must be around people every minute
Similarly:
talking to people at a party ≠ “being extroverted”
and reading a book ≠ “being introverted”
Cheers!
The jubilee promise of lifting up the lowly and freeing the oppressed demonstrates the importance of
self-worth in human flourishing. The miracle of love is wrought by affirming the other as a worthy recipient of such devotion. 🔥 (2/2)

Jocelyn Bryan on Jesus building self-esteem in others...
"A characteristic of Jesus’ ministry is his concern for those who are counted as unworthy or marginalized by society: the poor, the disabled and women. (1/2)

But I am never, or only rarely, really sure, free of all doubt, untroubled by some objection—by some experience which won’t fit, some lives which exhibit fullness on another basis, some alternative mode of fullness which sometimes draws me, etc.” (4/4)

…in other people’s lives—lives of exceptional spiritual fullness, or lives of maximum self-enclosedness, lives of demonic evil, etc.—this seems to be the picture which emerges. (3/4)

Christian Smith on emerging adulthood...
"Often an uncomfortable unevenness typifies this period, as emerging adults pursue lives with one foot in what seems like helpless dependence and another in what feels like complete autonomy and total responsibility." #SoulsinTransition
All indicators say this is not the ideal time to reengage on Twitter, but I’m starting a research journey that has already yielded loads of interesting quotes to share. Calling it a sunk cost and forging ahead for the sake of holding all this good stuff somewhere.
I’m no longer interested in “common sense” gun control. I want TIGHT gun control. I want RIGID rules. I want it to be HARD. If this is what it takes to keep our kids safe, so be it. I’m so fed up.
@ClintSmithIII@AttorneyCrump Why does a disturbed man’s “right to bear arms” trump Buffalo citizens’ right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?
Going to have nightmares about the number 6912 and being stuck here for literally the rest of time 🟦🟦🟦⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️
I really tried, Harry. #HarryStylesLoveOnTour
