The importance of ensuring that patients are properly followed up cannot be emphasised enough. I hope that the concerns raised by the Coroner prevent such a tragic outcome from happening again.
An inquest has concluded that failures in the care of a 56-year-old woman, including breakdowns in communication, led to a surgery not being performed. The family were represented by @MegGeorgeLD https://t.co/MwyUh1HE2a
Endometriosis has long been wrongly perceived to be rare among women of African descent. The misconception about the prevalence of endometriosis among African women has significantly contributed to long diagnostic delays, and care, and a scarcity of research on the condition among African women.
Additionally, endometriosis care in Africa from the general population and health practitioners is poor; this can be attributed to the high diagnostic cost, scarcity of trained specialists, as well as patients’ inability to express their symptoms due to societal taboos surrounding menstrual health.

Let's not forget that behind yet another maternity review are those who have been affected by inadequate care. How many maternity reviews, and how many affected families, will it take before lessons are actually learned and NHS maternity services are properly funded?

"One of the things that we have learnt from previous maternity inquiries is that lessons, when things go wrong, don't get learnt. So we have to change that culture."

Independent expert advice has repeatedly been that substantial reductions in meat and dairy as essential to tackle climate change, yet the Government has failed to action these recommendations. The decision of the CoA will scrutinise the Government's approach.
Tomorrow, @feedbackorg has a Court of Appeal hearing to argue that the Government's failure to adopt measures to reduce meat and dairy production and consumption in its Food Strategy published in June 2022 was unlawful. @RowWilliamSmith represents https://t.co/65EtV0F4r3

My colleague @KateEgerton1 in today's @MENnewsdesk: "It is staggering that, despite the number of incidents involving blind and visually impaired people falling from platforms, tactile paving is missing from such a large proportion of stations."
