In India we pay:-
1) One of the highest securities transaction taxes
2) One of the highest FnO taxes
3) High remittance fee to move money abroad (eg. 20% TCS)
4) High capital gains taxes
5) Pay for rupee depreciation (INR has become one of the worst performing currencies in the world recently)
6) Our stock market has given close to 0% returns in the last 2 years
All these facts can be checked in 2 mins. But, some bootlicker will raise his/her head and call people tell facts a conspiracy theorist.
A nation never dies. What dies is people's ability to think.
Rather than asking questions to leader, they question people raising questions, lol.
Only in India moment! One lawyer, thinking he was off the record, tells someone in Gujarati: “My father’s open-heart surgery is on, I can’t join. Tell the judge to pass whatever order he wants—I’ll get it changed in the Supreme Court!” Mic on. Lesson learnt. (Hopefully)😁
IMPORTANT: West Bengal is reportedly dropping eggs from school mid-day meals and handing over a vegetarian-only meal contract to ISKCON. Meanwhile, states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are expanding nutrition for children with more protein-rich food. School meals should be guided by science and nutrition, not politics or religious preferences. Keep ideology off a child’s plate, for God’s sake. 🙏
INTERESTING: If Nehru became PM only after the 1952 election as is now being claimed , then was Sardar Patel never really Deputy PM and India’s first Home Minister since he died in 1950?
The trouble with cherry-picking history is that it eventually contradicts itself.🙏
BIG STORY: when HDFC bank chairman resigns citing practises at a leading bank ‘not in congruence’ with personal values or ethics. Will truth be told of what those unethical practises are? Bank customers deserve transparency, no?
₹19,000 crore.
That is what Banks collected in last 3 years just for not maintaining ‘Minimum Account Balance.’
Not from the rich. Not from big borrowers.
From the poorest accounts in the system.
Their crime? They didn’t have enough money.
A farmer misses the minimum balance - Penalty.
A pensioner withdraws money for medicine - Penalty.
A daily wage worker falls short by a few hundred rupees - Penalty.
The poor keep money in banks for safety. Not to be quietly fined for being poor.
Financial inclusion should protect small savings, not punish small balances.
In Parliament today I proposed ending minimum balance penalties so the banking system stops charging people for their poverty.
In China, 13.5 tonnes of Gold, 23 tonnes of cash & luxury vehicles were found in a mayor’s house
He was sentenced to de@th.
In India, he would have joined BJP.
My take: Whatever your view on @RahulGandhi ‘vote chori’ allegation, isn’t it bizarre that in this digital age machine readable electoral rolls are not made available? Isn’t that the easiest way to find out if there are fake or duplicate voters? ECI should surely be more transparent, not less to ensure total public confidence in the process. Think.
Important: So sixth instalment of Rs 10,000 was given to approx 10 lakh women in Bihar yesterday. Another instalment to be given on 7th November 4 days before polling. Since Model Code in place, 3 cash instalments handed out already. Isn’t this VOTE KHARIDI? EC ‘sources’ call it an ‘ongoing’ scheme! An ongoing scheme that was started just a week before polls were announced! Bizarre logic.
Wake up Pakistan! Now even Afghanistan doesn’t want to play cricket with you. War/terror/violence cannot co-exist with sport. Thoughts and prayers with those who were tragically killed. Om Shanti 🙏 (note: Afghanistan has chosen NOT to play with Pakistan, forget about not shaking hands)
Over 100 residents from the Naigaon-Chinchoti-Vasai area have written to Prime Minister @narendramodi, seeking permission to d1€ by sui¢ide as they are frustrated by the poor condition of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad national highway (NH-48), traffic congestion, and administrative negligence. They complained that what was once a one-hour commute for them has, over the past two months, stretched to five or six hours.
Make one small mistake in any private company, you’re fired that very same day.
Here, 20 children died from toxic cough syrup.
Not one babu got fired. Not one minister resigned.
Forget accountability, where is the humanity?
On what downward slope is this country heading?
