Such a cute Christmas gift. December 1st means it's officially Christmas season & my favorite time of the year. My family has a tradition where we gather and buy toys, books, and winter supplies to donate. This is always what I look forward to most! #SOCI341

Now that the cold weather is here to stay, what are some Covid friendly winter activity ideas? Whether it be indoor or outdoor, I'd love to try something new while respecting social distancing. #SOCI341

Tips for oral presentations! This could be beneficial for our upcoming presentations and any others you may be doing this finals season #SOCI341

For our first speaker, Lindsay Bernadine C. Agamata, talks about “Oral Presentation, which surrounds her experiences and tips and steps on how to present a research paper.

Great article. Short and sweet, and very relevant to our course material on media literacy. Educating people on how to navigate through media content is so important. #SOCI341

This thread is very interesting and in line with what we have been learning in class. These are definitely things that should be brought to light more often #SOCI341

[Social Media Addiction @SocMedAddiction]

DON'T: Use social media as a coping mechanism when you're not feeling well ❌

[Meghan Bloom @MeghanBloom9]

@LauraFu00850340 It is so shocking thinking almost a full year has gone by. If anything I feel like being stuck inside and away from friends and family would make the time feel slower, but the time has really flown by. I wonder what it will feel like once everything is back to normal #SOCI341

[Meghan Bloom @MeghanBloom9]

I typically love cyber Monday shopping, but this year I would rather spend my money at local businesses. What are your favorite Montreal local businesses that are in need of some extra support?

[Meghan Bloom @MeghanBloom9]

Social media addiction is a rising concern. How would you plan to tackle this when it comes to your own children? Would you monitor their screentime? Parental controls? Leave it be? #SOCI341

[Meghan Bloom @MeghanBloom9]

With talk of the Covid vaccine, I am unsure if I would rush to get it. For now, I feel like social distancing and staying home for the first few months even after the vaccine is released is a safer idea so the public can see the side effects on a larger scale #SOCI341

#CovidVaccine it’s win win situation why they hesitatin 🤷🏻‍♀️

[Meghan Bloom @MeghanBloom9]

While preparing for the group presentations I have done a lot of research on social media and addiction. The content was slightly disturbing as I was able to name many of my own friends and family members who would fall into the category of social media addicts #SOCI341

With finals quickly approaching I have been trying to change my daily routine to be as productive as possible. I have started making daily checklists and spreading out the work from my courses. What are some other study/organization tips that have worked for you? #SOCI341

[Meghan Bloom @MeghanBloom9]

@zariguepa @eavh99 This was something that was really hard for me as well. Having to physically go to a gym motivated me to workout once I got there, so being home made it hard and drove me to get lazy. I recently bought a bunch of new home workout equipment which helped a lot #SOCI341

[Meghan Bloom @MeghanBloom9]

@issasphere I completely agree. I drove by the mall and saw crazy lines just to get in, and a friend told me that everything was insanely packed inside. It is strange how everything else in Montreal is closed but thousands of people are allowed into a mall. #SOCI341

[Meghan Bloom @MeghanBloom9]

Montreal is officially in red zone lockdown for another 4 weeks. Personally, I think this is a good idea and the best option if we would like to gather with our families for Christmas, but I am concerned for those who don't do well being stuck inside alone. #SOCI341

[Meghan Bloom @MeghanBloom9]

At the beginning of the quarantine, I bought a bunch of adult coloring books to give me something to do other than watch tv or be on my phone. Now that warm weather is over I will definitely get back to it. What are your favorite quarantine activities? #SOCI341

[Meghan Bloom @MeghanBloom9]

This is so important to remember. It is up to everyone to do their part in order for us to get back to normal. Stay inside, wear your mask, distance yourselves, etc., so we can move forward. #SOCI341

Did you take "advantage" of Prime Day? I had always been a frequent Amazon client, however, these facts really turned me off. Especially during the pandemic I have chosen to shop locally to support those who need it most

Now that we have reached the halfway point of the semester, I am finding it increasingly hard to stay motivated. I prefer in-person classes and studying at the library. Any recommendations to finish off the semester strong? #SOCI341

Great short clip on teenage Instagram users. It's interesting to see the trends among this age group and why. #SOCI341

[Meghan Bloom @MeghanBloom9]

I think this is a bit extreme. If the government is mandating forced closures everyone should be respecting it, especially with so many lives at risk. Although I love the gym, I will personally not be returning right away #SOCI341

Quebec gym owners say even if ‘red’ zone restrictions are extended past Oct.28, they plan to reopen come Thursday. A coalition of 200 gyms, CrossFit, yoga, dance studios, & others are coming together to let Premier Legault know they’re going to open.
