@AshFarms Someone told me to start with John (25 years ago). I accidentally started reading 1 John, because I didn’t know the difference, and God used it! I feel like it’s also a good place to start. Also love Romans. It’s very to the point. Kind of summing up the gospel.
@gatorgar Praying for you and your church search! Nobody is born a Christian. All true Christians have a before/after, even if they were raised in the church. You might feel like they all belong and you don’t, but every single one of them felt the same way at one point.
@ThouArtTheMan@wartwatch@BrentDetwiler Also, I just read Mohler’s 2019 statement within your article for the first time since he first wrote it. Much respect to him for saying repeatedly that he had made a mistake and was sorry. Those kind of admissions are hard to come by.
@JayMallow3 I’m not following what Chandler is saying b/c I don’t really trust him anymore, but I think this “reformed prosperity gospel” is very insightful.
We forget that anything done in the name of God that does not bear his character through and through is not of Him at all. In our forgetting, we are more loyal to the words of humans than to the commandments of God.
Reading @KB_HGA ‘s “Dangerous Jesus.” He says @R_Denhollander “became a terror to terror.” LOVE IT! The only ones threatened by her are prolly doin’ stuff they shouldn’t be doin’.
@ShaiLinne has encouraged me with God’s truth over the past 15+ years, both through his music, and in person. Always ready to share it with whoever will listen.
24 years ago today, the Lord opened my eyes to behold the glory of Jesus & rescued me from my sins. I once told my heartbroken mom, “Leave me alone, I’ll never be a Christian.” For 24 years, my main ambition in life has been to spread the gospel. God has a great sense of humor!
