@WDFW@wsdot_traffic Sharp shinned are smaller and you can see the red tailed hawk’s “belly band” across the stomach. Distinct marker. Red tailed hawks often stay on lamp posts / power poles over highways too.
@wsdot_traffic@WDFW Red tailed hawk! they are larger than cooper’s and sharp shinned hawks.
Red tailed hawks are often over high ways just like this :) also you can see a darker “belly band” across the stomach that distinguishes it from afar.
@KyleOShay@chrisplys@DeanGemmell THIS. Give him a chance…like we aren’t familiar with past meetings? Like we weren’t there? Hard to believe promises in that letter when the interim made opposing viewpoint known even just last week. We’re informed and we’re skeptical. Shuffling names around is not accountability
@willhsiung Well said. The long delay until their hand was forced does not bode well for the character of those on the board. They did not listen, they did not hear when it mattered most, so it’s hard to take their letter at face value when the same old faces are still there. #usacurling
May I repeat: “Shuffling the structure of staffing is not accountability.” Thank you @DeathRaeCurls 👏🏻 The entire @usacurl board and the current state and systems of the AAC membership, we have no confidence and have lost respect and trust in you. We demand better leaders. #gncc
@colinhufman @curlinginla @jayceeisalive And those blind spots from privilege also mean you could be wrong in this very situation and admitting that is huge.
The clear data, the petitions, the sponsors making statements, the countless clubs releasing statements. This isn’t frivolous shit.
@colinhufman @curlinginla @jayceeisalive Doesn’t release you of responsibility to question your reps, to be polled by them, to have discussions with them, to do your own due diligence research. All so that your AAC reps have engaged you athletes rightfully and throughly before such an impactful vote and issue.
@colinhufman @curlinginla @jayceeisalive Acknowledging your privilege is just the first step. You also have to recognize the blind spots that come with that. Just because you have AAC reps doesn’t release you of the responsibility to be an informed athlete and know how and why your reps are voting certain ways.
This is extremely flawed logic. This just serves to prove that the athletes were not involved in discussions, polling, asking questions, reviewing all data, facts, and perspectives fairly re: gncc. Reps definitely should not just be handling it so the rest don’t have to 🤦🏻♀️
Friendly reminder to friendly curlers everywhere: you can support @GNCC_curling and their true commitment to DEI and growing the game we love 🥌 by selecting them as your charity for #amazonsmile. #gncc#curling#spiritofcurling
What could we do instead? Well, we could become members of @GNCC or remain independent. There are arguments that each could fit our club better than @usacurl today. (13/14)
