The root words will be given randomly by the aliens in different planets and students need to help translate for Nex with the meaning of the word.

Learning root words can be boring and repetitive for a 5th grader. So when mine asked me to make a game to help him learn them this year, it was a no brainer!
His class can now learn their root words (from 5 now to 50 by the end of the year) from Nex and his alien friends!
