He is right, technically speaking the NEET 2026 paper was shared & sold. Not leaked. Peak detailing by NTA!
What is truly unfortunate is that no official handle of the PM Modi has come forward to reassure the 22 lakh students who are once again being forced to prepare & take NEET.
And please spare us the argument that the Prime Minister shouldn't comment on the NEET fiasco. We routinely see the PM's PR machinery spring into action over far less consequential matters. We see the Prime Minister inaugurating local metro lines, bridges& countless smaller projects.
If those events merit public attention, surely 22 lakh students deserve a few words of assurance. Not just for those being made to reappear for the exam, but also for the countless younger students who dream of becoming doctors & are watching all of this unfold, wondering why they should trust NTA & a govt that has remained largely silent through the crisis.

IIT Delhi to IIM Bangalore to IAS. I got the best education my country had to offer. It taught me how to crack tough exams and manage big responsibilities. But it never taught me how to quiet my own mind or handle loneliness. We spend many years learning how to achieve, but not a single day learning how to be happy.
My thoughts on what is missing in school education.
Emotional Regulation:
We memorized the periodic table, but no one explained the chemistry of a broken heart. School demanded we stay quiet, confusing silence with peace. Now, we don't know how to host our own storms without drowning in them. We feel lost because we were taught to suppress, not to process.
Deep Communication:
We were taught to write perfect essays, but not how to say "I’m hurting" or "No." While there is a strong emphasis on communication, we are not taught the vocabulary of the adult life. There is no course on how to stand our ground in face of bullying by a boss or how to protect our work boundaries by saying 'No'
Critical Thinking:
In school, the person with the most answers won. In life, the person with the most questions survives. This is the reason many adults can repeat opinions confidently without ever questioning where those opinions came from. We are told everything as the gospel truth. So we end up just following blindly
Financial Literacy:
We spent years learning maths and solving for x, but never learned how to keep ourselves from falling in a debt trap. Money isn't just about math; it’s about the dignity of choice. We do not learn how to use debt effectively without it controlling our freedom. How impulsive spending compounds over time, or how money affects stress, relationships, and mental peace. Financial literacy is missing because education often focuses on earning money someday, not managing it wisely once it arrives.
Self-Discipline
School is a world of bells and schedules. Someone else always tells you what to do and when. But adulthood is a world of total silence. We feel stuck because we were never taught how to push ourselves without a teacher watching. Discipline is simply the habit of keeping promises to yourself. This is a habit many of us are lacking
Handling Loneliness
In school, you are always shrouded by people. You never realize how loud the silence of adulthood can be until you’re in it. We feel lonely because we weren't taught how to be our own best friends. Peace is learning that being alone doesn't mean being lonely. It is a sacred space, not a sign of being unwanted.
Reading People
School is a time of innocence where friendships are often given to you. But as we go along, not everyone retains that purity. We feel cheated because we weren't taught to see the hidden intentions or the masks people wear. Reading people is the quiet wisdom of seeing the truth behind the words.
Mental Health Maintenance
We have gym class for our bodies, but nothing for our souls. We are taught to push through exhaustion to finish a project, which is exactly how we end up in burnout. Honoring your nervous system is the only way to make sure the light inside you doesn't go out. We should know when we are dealing with a stressor and unable to handle it anymore. We should know when to reach out for help if we feel that we are drowning in that distress
Knowing Yourself
We spend years trying to be the "best" student, only to realize we don't know who we are without a gold medal. We are left inadequate because we studied every subject except our own souls. The ultimate education is discovering what truly matters to you before the world tells you what to want.
Operation Sindoor: Tactical Success, Strategic Drift
On the first anniversary of the Pahalgam massacre of tourists, Prime Minister Modi’s response to the terrorist attack is back in the spotlight.
The massacre inflamed public passions in India. For the first time, the political opposition united in demanding action against Pakistan, the longstanding sponsor of cross-border terrorism. This public pressure may have forced Modi’s hand, helping to overcome his longstanding aversion to armed conflict.
What followed was extraordinary: For almost 15 days, Modi effectively signaled India’s intent by holding widely publicized, near-daily meetings with the chiefs of the three military services, giving Pakistan ample time to largely empty its terrorist-training camps and prepare to mount military reprisals against looming Indian strikes.
India’s short-lived military campaign, “Operation Sindoor” (May 7–10, 2025), was no less extraordinary.
Instead of allowing the Indian Air Force to first neutralize the enemy’s air defenses — in keeping with the first principle of air warfare — the political leadership ordered strikes only on largely empty terrorist camps. The result, as India’s chief of defense staff later acknowledged, was the avoidable initial loss of aircraft — a “mistake,” as he put it, that was only “rectified” on the third and final day of the operation, when the government at last authorized strikes on the adversary’s air defenses and bases.
But no sooner had the Indian Air Force devastated Pakistan’s air defenses and bases, stretching from north to south, than President Trump — not New Delhi — announced a ceasefire. (India’s own announcement came 90 minutes after the truce had already taken effect.)
In short, the operation delivered major blows and shattered Pakistan’s sense of immunity under its nuclear umbrella, achieving a tactical success. But the tactical success did not translate into a strategic victory, because the political leadership had defined no clear strategic objective. Worse, it abruptly accepted the ceasefire, apparently under Washington’s persuasion, which helps explain why Trump announced it.
All this allowed the Pakistani military not only to rehabilitate its damaged standing at home but also to stage what amounted to a constitutional coup. Pakistan, moreover, strengthened its ties with Washington. By contrast, the past year has been among the most difficult in U.S.-India relations.
I demanded in Parliament that PATERNITY LEAVE should be a legal right in India.
When a child is born, both parents are congratulated. But caregiving responsibility falls on one. The mother.
A father should not have to choose between caregiving for his newborn and keeping his job. And a mother should not have to go through childbirth & recovery without her husband’s support
Right after childbirth the woman, needs her husband’s presence the most. The husband’s caregiving responsibility towards his wife is equally important.
I raised this issue in Parliament because caregiving is a shared responsibility. Our laws must reflect that.

The fire incident in Palam, Delhi, is saddening. I extend my condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover at the earliest.
An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000: PM @narendramodi
#WATCH | Delhi: AAP MP Raghav Chadha says, "Just as Indian voters have the right to elect, they should also have the right to recall. If voters can hire a leader, they should also have the right to fire them. Right to Recall is a mechanism that empowers voters to de-elect an elected representative, before their term ends, if they fail to discharge their duties… If we can impeach the president, vice president, and judges, and bring a no-confidence motion against the elected government, why shouldn't voters be given the right to recall if their MP/MLA is not performing…"

This is from the front page of today’s @timesofindia, Patna edition. Those who have been objecting to my recent initiative on #maritalrape should ask why the beast involved in this assault should get off scot-free because he had not taken the trouble of divorcing his wife after abandoning her. Under the law he cannot be prosecuted for rape since he remains her husband, his bigamous new relationship being illegal! This is a stark example of what is wrong with our rape law as it currently stands. The “marital rape exception” must go!

The Supreme Court on Thursday (August 14) expressed reluctance to entertain the petition filed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) challenging the judgment of the Kerala High Court which suspended the toll collection at the Paliyekkara toll plaza in Thrissur district along National Highway 544 due to the bad condition of the highway.
