Ari Larijani may become one of the most powerful figures in Iran --- if the regime survives. This will be interesting, as he is one of the powerful five Larijani brothers.

His brother, S. Mohammad M.A Larijani, used to live on the Cote des Neiges in Montreal. (Modern Idea Trading and Consultant Inc.)

The Iranian Cultural Centre on Sheppard Avenue, Toronto, was listed in the name of another brother, Fazil Larijani. Fazil was at the time cultural attaché at the Iranian embassy in Ottawa.

Ari Larijani's brother Sadeq is/was married to daughter of Grand Ayatollah Vahid Khorasami, while his brother Ali is married to the daughter of Ayatollah Mortaza Motehari, said to be Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini's most revered student. Ari himself was Speaker of the Iranian parliament at one point.

Iran, as can be inferred here, has deep layers of infiltration in Canada that goes back decades.
