The @UN mission in India & Pakistan (UNMOGIP) is unique & longstanding.
Day in and day out, the women & men of UNMOGIP play a critical role, operating in an extremely sensitive political environment.
They have my profound gratitude for contributing to stability in the region.
Israel’s military campaign in Gaza has killed 74,245 Palestinians in three years, Gaza’s health ministry says.
“There is a ceasefire in name only,” said a senior policy fellow with the European Council on Foreign Relations. https://t.co/tFaEkFyDQX
My nephews study in a big tent surrounded by bombed-out houses. They have no access to chairs or tables, so they sit on the dirt. https://t.co/uMNVAn6li1
Yes. I think the Israeli govt response to the horrendous Oct 7 attacks has been massively disproportionate - for which I blame Netanyahu and hard-right headbangers like Ben Gvir and Smotrich who don’t seem to care about the damage they’re doing to Israel’s reputation.
Imran Khan’s supporters have begun a march to Islamabad to demand his release from jail after efforts by the Pakistani government to halt the protest failed. https://t.co/VaYdTT2NPo
Pakistan is on the frontlines of climate chaos despite contributing only a tiny fraction of global emissions.
My visit during the 2022 floods will stay with me forever.
That tragedy showed the world a profound injustice.
As the source of 80% of global emissions, G20 countries must respect their commitments & urgently reduce their emissions.
Between Oct 7, 2023 and Oct 7, 2026

Whatever one’s politics, PTI has the right to hold a peaceful protest and march. That right does not disappear because PTI is Imran Khan’s party, or because the government disagrees with it. Peaceful protest and peaceful march are democratic rights, not favours granted by those in power. The state’s responsibility is to facilitate them, not suppress them.
Pakistan's history teaches us that kinetic action isn't always the best solution, especially in Pakistan's fragile system of governance. It hasn't worked at home. How will it work in Yemen? An informed view:https://t.co/duXtiX3Ung
The right to peacefully protest and make your voice heard is fundamental to any democracy.
The people of Pakistan deserve to have their basic freedoms, human rights, and democratic will respected. America will always stand for freedom, democracy, and the fundamental rights of people everywhere.
Charlie was found dragging himself on the streets with a severe femur fracture. We honestly thought he was paralysed for life but today, Charlie gave us a miracle, he has started to walk 💖.
He remains on antibiotics and pain relief, but seeing him take these steps shows his unbelievable spirit.
Keep going Charlie, you got this 💕
