@bradsferguson Spending $1B on a dataset of home tasks doesn't seem like a good use of resources.
Tesla will focus on the high-value use case first: manufacturing. Resolve the long tail of problems before spending scarce resources on low-return and high-risk home/consumer use cases.
@Tesla It should be straightforward to implement this given @Tesla already uses tech for tracking driver attention.
This would also help with pin privacy as I don't want to enter it in front of all passengers.
I started using "Pin to Drive" recently on my @Tesla for safety, but it's annoying to keep entering the pin every time. I wish the cabin camera would use face detection to make this seamless.
@elonmusk@Teslaconomics That's awesome! There are many ways to solve the same problem and the constraints (vision only) brings out the ingenuity.
But the clowns who are married to their solution will remain stuck to LiDAR.
Got this email from @Tesla to purchase FSD (Supervised) outright. Can someone clarify if this purchase will:
1. Allow my car to drive autonomously without supervision whenever the feature is fully developed and regulators allow it?
2. Ability to add my Tesla to Robotaxi network
@TheWeirdHistory Usually it's the space technology that is adopted widely, this time it's the commonplace (yet awesome) @Tesla cabin design used in spacecrafts. Cross pollination of ideas in @elonmusk's companies results in amazing progress.
@iam_preethi@elonmusk Do you know what portion of transportation, industrial, electricity and commercial also should be considered related to agriculture: production (food/pesticide), food transportation and storage (refrigeration, etc.)?
@elonmusk Thanks for creating car of the future. I'm 10x happier to own it compared to any other. Free suggestions:
- audible alerts for blind spot
- 360 camera view when parking or on demand
- analytics & charts for charging & energy usage
- Android Auto support
Online renewal doesn't work, paper application got no response, applied in person still no DL. Now back in 3 hour line after 6 months of original application struggling to get a piece of plastic.
Why the @CA_DMV experience still suck in this day and age. Not appointments available for months and huge lines. Shame being in silicon valley they can't optimize processing.
