Finally found the courage to share, cause this is definitely not my best work.

But I am just grateful for the trust by these fellow Malaysian Uaenas in 2018 to hand letter their heartfelt letters to IU and we received help from Singaena 🥺

Looking back, I'm so glad that IU is constantly in my life, be it music or her acting works.

I needed some quiet strength n somehow, I feel encouraged whenever I see IU's face.

You've always done a good job, no matter in music or your acting. I'd watch all your dramas n movies because YOU are in it.

IU: Hmm… These days, I’ve been preparing for an album, and the drama is nearing its end, so because of that I guess more than ever, I keep thinking I really need to do better. I’ve been thinking a lot lately that I truly need to do even better and carry myself with a greater sense of responsibility. I feel that I should’ve done better… so if I ever disappoint you even a little, or show you a lacking side of myself, that is completely my fault.

Fan: That’s not true!

IU: No, it really is true. That is why I will do better and move forward with even stronger sense of responsibility. I also want to become someone that our Uaenas can be even more proud of… So lately, I’ve really been thinking a lot. But really, this is something that would be solved if I simply did better…. You don’t have to disagree, because it’s really something that would’ve been fine if I just did better…. So… as someone who receives so much love from all of you, I will do even better. I will carry an even greater sense of responsibility and live diligently without wasting a single moment, so that I will become an IU who can show you an even better side of myself.

IU: Nonetheless, I still have so many shortcomings, yet you continue to love and support me, and I’m so grateful for that. But
I genuinely believe that everything you say to me has a reason behind it and are things that I should accept. So if there are areas where I fall short, please keep telling me, scold me more, and teach me. I will listen carefully and work hard to become a better person.

IU: I love you all so much. I feel like i’m saying this too late, but I love you all. And… I truly want to show you an even! even! better sides of myself…. yet I keep falling short in some ways so i’m so sorry for all of that. Still, you keep giving me chances and look at me with affectionate eyes so i’m really grateful for that. Anyway, I will work way! way! harder and do well. Thank you. (Bows)
