hello economists out there! is there any analysis done on how much subsidy is given by the govt for every kwh of electricity paid by households in Malaysia?

Underrated life advice: Own fewer things. Every item you buy is an item you manage. Physically or mentally. Clutter isn’t just in your closet. It lives in your head. When you lessen the load, you free your attention for what matters. Less stuff = less stress. Period.
📊 Stats don’t change the world.
❤️ Stories do.
One of the most impactful panels I attended at #ImpactWeek2025 was on #Storytelling.
It left me rethinking how we tell stories with sensitivity to the communities we work with. Some key takeaways 👇
@jonathanchia@ChannelNewsAsia@karlmalakunas@oceanx 👉 On overcoming helplessness in the audience: Solution-oriented storytelling - audiences need to feel they can act as they give actionable insights.
Amy Sim Kok Eng:
Internews does “outcome harvesting” to track how stories lead to real-world change.

Really excited on our project to put solar systems in a stretch of Orang Asli villages in Pahang! These systems enables the communities to do much of what we take for granted: turn on lights anytime, refrigerate our food, turn the fan when it's hot
Before we put on these systems we'll have to get baseline study going so that we can do impact study that'll go some way in helping us fund more of such projects. We are only electrifying 2 villages for now, but we know more than 10 villages in this stretch that need energy too
CEO of EPF: cost of living problem in Malaysia is a wage problem. Only 33% of GDP goes to labour (vs 45% in rich countries). Wages for white collar compounded grew slower than inflation
