There are days when it seems to be time to sit back and take stock. For me, doing a symbolic meditative-type drawing helps me figure out what's bothering me.
20260717 FRIDAY https://t.co/6HppuuaBQG
@bravesnsweettea In the early years, if it was bad, I would go to a meeting or talk to someone. Now, I rarely get one but if I do, I acknowledge it and tell it, no, we don't do that anymore, but I don't get afraid that I will drink because I know I decided I am not a drinker anymore.
Drawing & painting are one of the ways that helped me learn about myself and deal with life throughout recover life.

@arthurjack I started drawing detailed mandala (circle) images and could get lost doing things like shading, measuring. These days I am using neuroart to do the same thing. I get started and the next thing I know, an hour has passed.
Never stop changing, never stop growing - except my weight, I do wish that would shrink, but I guess I can't have everything. Darn.

Life doesn't stop happening when you get sober, it just continues on and, well, we have to deal with it.
20260703 ANOTHER HOT FRIDAY https://t.co/hlvaWVQ8AK
@DrDoyleSays I kept telling a co-worker that when I got my nerves in order, I would talk to her friend about AA, whatever that was. Fortunately for me, she didn't listen that one time, I got a call, I understand you think you have a problem with alcohol. For once, I said yes.
