Haniya Aslam is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and music producer. She is best known as one half of the folk-rock duo Zeb & Haniya. The duo gained popularity with their soulful melodies and blend of various regional and Western music styles showcased in their critically acclaimed debut record ‘Chup!’ released in 2008.

Here’s a snippet of Haniya singing 'Aitebar' from the podcast, with footage taken from Zeb & Haniya’s first music video directed by @SaqibMa11070211 in a 1930’s mansion located in Karachi. Choreographed & performed by Joshinder Kaur Chaggar and @Omarrahim .

Saqib Malik is known for his extraordinary accomplishment as the director/producer for his romantic drama ‘Baaji’. After hearing some of Zeb-Haniya’s songs, he approached them to direct a music video for ‘Aitebar’ casting Joshinder Chaggar who was among the first few people to start teaching modern classical dance movements at NAPA and Omar Rahim who has choreographed numerous awards ceremonies such as the ‘Lux Style Awards’.

New Artist & Release Announcement: ‘In Your Light’ by Quraish | out on 2.11.23, a humble musical expression crafted by Khalil Qureshi made from a sample of the late Ustad Azam Bakhshi (Bakhshi Brothers) that he recorded on one of his trips to Pakistan, he captured Ustads melodic teachings during a friend’s vocal practice / riyaaz session from his phone, added layers of expression from different instruments from his music room in Bahrain, and masterfully directs the accompanying music video. The track is not just a display of his musical virtuosity but also serves as a powerful medium for him to voice his solidarity with the oppressed Muslims in Palestine.

We enthusiastically welcome Khalil to our roster for this release and more, we also celebrate his innovative spirit as the founder / guitar player of Hotboxgroove renowned bahrain based jazz collective known for their captivating fusion of psychedelic, jazz, and blues music.

It's actually sad that when a friend or colleague opens up a business, most of them just come up and be like discount while they don't understand that there are costs associated with how a product made and most of the time a new business giving out discounts can barely break even
