Well this is annoying. Lots of mixed reactions so far. It’s just so stupid! As a professional athlete with a team they should know you need a TUE or use it outside of competition. Yes it is “just a cortisone shot” but it’s still banned! So so dumb. What a waste.
@benbergan It’s weird. The distribution is super limited, they’ve never really cared about the market and they are doing a store tour with a shoe nerd not an athlete! Very odd way to launch a shoe
Well Australia is going to suck at the World Mountain Running Champs in Spain. Not only are the athletes expected to self fund the whole thing (including uniforms) but they also aren’t allowed to race UTMB. So…. 🤦🏻♀️
@ChrisZruns @wser Me neither! I think I’ll have worse odds this year with two tickets than I did last year with one! Oh well, gotta be in it to win it!
NSAIDs are not banned by WADA, but they can be dangerous for athletes health. Their use is too common for athletes in competition and training and I believe most aren’t aware of the risk 👇
On the @wser lottery front, we are approaching 7400 applicants going into the 4th day of registration which is now the second highest ever behind last year's 9388. Total tickets is over 55,000 which is the highest ever.
Day 1 of the @wser lottery opening, and there are already more tickets in the pot than in all of the 2022 draw (with only ~1/2 of the total applicants of 2022).
We're also seeing the first person in lottery history with 512 tickets (Greg Salvesen)!
Last year there was 9389 folks in the @wser lottery. It’s been less than a day and there is already 4147 entrants. Either we are all insanely keen or the odds are even less in my favour
