I believe the only proper way to see Top Gun is with a dad/mans excitedly whispering in your ear what each of the planes are as they come on the screen
Last night, after a 23-game winning streak, Mattea Roach’s reign came to an end. We spoke to her about her winning strategy, online haters and why she probably won’t be popping up at your local quiz night

I'm no war expert, but I clearly see now that Russia is afraid of NATO, and NATO is afraid of Russia. But only the Ukrainian army and people are not afraid of anyone
“We are all helping here. Making camouflage netting, perogies, baking bread, and provisions for our men (army) in the bombed out areas. It’s hard and scary, but we are sure that we will win, because our country is united like it’s never been before.”-My family member in Rivne🇺🇦🌻
I’m rly glad he said this.
We need to stop narrativizing what’s happening. This isn’t a fucking myth or movie in the making. Stop fantasy-casting a Hollywood version and pay attention and donate.
The most relatable Ukrainian-Canadian article I’ve read, down to Dido being in the ‘Divisia’, mandatory history lessons and deep connections to the homeland. Beautifully written 💙💛
A piece I’ve written for @macleans about the last few days. For my fellow Ukrainian-Canadians. For Ukraine and Ukrainians. For anyone caring from afar, trying to make sense of senselessness. Thank you @sarah_fulford for inviting me to write my heartache. https://t.co/3rpW6QBPWs
Bloody hell. Looking at a message from the Ukraine Library Association concerning the cancellation of their forthcoming conference. it basically says "We will reschedule just as soon as we have finished vanquishing our invaders". Ukrainian Librarians, I salute you
Ukrainians have their own culture, history, language, art, folk tales, traditional clothing, and music.
We don’t want to hear that “we’re the same”. We want Russians to embrace our differences, our right to be different, and forge a new path in relations built around that fact.
If you wonder why Ukrainians are fighting so resolutely-this is not new for us. When we declared independence in 1918, Russia went to war against us. In 1932-33 they committed a genocide, the Holodoor, confiscating all food and starving millions. This time, we will not lose.
The biggest plane in the world "Mriya" (The Dream) was destroyed by Russian occupants on an airfield near Kyiv. We will rebuild the plane. We will fulfill our dream of a strong, free, and democratic Ukraine.
