What happened at the Reflecting Pool?
U.S. Park Police are asking for the public's help identifying a person seen on surveillance video as part of a Destruction of Government Property investigation. The June 19 footage appears to show a woman reaching into the water from the pool's edge.
The investigation comes after the Reflecting Pool became the center of controversy when President Trump's resurfacing effort was followed by peeling paint and algae that turned the intended "American Flag Blue" water green. Trump says several people have already been arrested or cited for alleged damage, and repairs are underway.
