My Dad, Bob turned 97 today. He ‘retired’ at 92 as a stuntman/actor. He says he’s broken more bones since retiring than he did stunting for 72 years. God bless. Just wanted to shout out props to my cool a$$ Pops. Happy Birthday. #legend

@WalshFreedom In the past I’ve read/heard it explained as feeling vulnerable, theatrical bravado or rejecting accepted societal decency standards. I think they get a kick out of the old WP pearl clutching that happens as a result. When you look at it that way, it’s more amusing than offensive.

@jentaub Glad you’re getting checked! My father (stuntman) taught me to never use your arms to break a fall, use them to protect your head and roll on your shoulder as you go down - he lived to 97yrs old.

We lost a legend last week with the passing of Bob Herron at 97. One of the founding members of the Stuntmen’s Association in 1961 and a former SAG National Board member. Our condolences go out to the Herron family. #sagaftramember since 1949.

@capedoryus Saving it to memory is no less meaningful but maybe it will turn up some day! ❤️a vntge Merc. In the early 60’s, my dad drove a ‘56 190 conv. Kids arrived so then came a ‘59 280 coupe, and then a Rambler station wgn lol. Sadly I don’t have any photos of him w/ the Mercs either :(
