@breakfasttv Given what is going on in this country and the world in general I feel like perhaps the PM has more important issues to address than the color of our passports. Just me?
@TorontoStar Anyone could have seen that coming from a mile away. Now imagine working multiple part time jobs and still not being able to afford rent. Maybe now they won’t be able to turn a blind eye to the greedy landlords. Something has to give.
@CTVLondon Would be interesting to know if all tenants being evicted are rent controlled or not paying “market value”. Eviction for renos is a scam. Reno’s can be done while tenants are relocated and the landlord must give them first right of refusal on the unit after - at the same rent
@birgitomo It’s a good day to make post secondary education free for all who earn the seat in class with their grades. No more skating by and getting in because you have the financial means. OSAP is a short term fix but the long term debt is a heavy burden!
@krassenstein The more air time people like this garner the more the speak. The more they speak the more misinformation they spew. The more they spew the more people buy in to it. The best way to stop them is to ignore them. The air time is what they want.
@capedcrusader17@BhutilaKarpoche Can’t save to buy if you are paying ridiculous rents. How it must be nice to sit atop your apparent pile of money looking down on the poor renting peasants and tell them to simply purchase a home as if it were like shopping for a new pair of shoes🤦🏼♀️.
@seldomsensible @BhutilaKarpoche People don’t move on because they can’t afford new homes at the sky high rental costs and the fear of landlords increasing rents beyond reach if they were to move. People stay for stability and survival. Shortages are caused by greed but not that of the tenants
@SteveDishMonkey@BhutilaKarpoche If you can’t afford the mortgage without robbing your tenants blind then maybe…just maybe….you have no business being a landlord????
@TorontoStar Lockdown made people in general a lot meaner, entitled and just plain ignorant and rude. Or maybe it took 2.5 yrs of a reset to notice that some people were always that way. We just tolerated it and became “personality blind” and now we see each others true colors.
@CTVLondon Then the simple answer is NO - if they can’t be completed without an unfair burden to the public then some things simply hit the chopping block or get delayed. How much did we pay for our “flex street” that is an eyesore? People are cash strapped enough already. Press pause!
@krassenstein@GovRonDeSantis go ahead and build your prison. Disney will just pack up, move on and bring their billions in tourist dollars with them. No skin off their noses. You don’t scare Disney but you sir should be afraid of the power they hold
@mackaytaggart As someone who has a medical condition often needing a washroom at a moments notice I have zero quality of life. Denying access to facilities takes away our dignity and our quality of life. With few exceptions we are work/housebound out of fear and embarrassment
@TorontoStar And yet the majority of us can’t afford to shop at Loblaws or Shoppers due to the blatant price gouging. The rich get richer while they watch the rest of us starve from their golden palaces. May they always be so lucky
@blogTO Hopefully nearby citizens were given a heads up. If windows are open that smell will permeate everything. Asthma suffers will be highly impacted as will people’s pets and wildlife
