Harbhajan Singh (via Match Centre live) :
Despite everything Hardik went through during IPL 2024, he put it all aside and gave everything for India under Rohit Sharma's captaincy in the T20 World Cup. He did the same in 2026 under Suryakumar Yadav's captaincy. He played a crucial role in India's two T20 World Cup triumphs.
But things looked very different when he became Mumbai Indians captain. If Hardik complained to the owners about a lack of support from senior players, then it raises serious questions. From the outside, MI always looked like a dressing room divided into groups rather than a united team.
When Hardik was being booed by his own home crowd, none of the senior players even once came forward & appealed to the fans to stop. Then there were the cryptic Instagram stories from Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav immediately after him getting captaincy, which only added to the perception of a toxic environment..
If Hardik decides to move on, it may be the best decision for everyone. A fresh start at a new franchise could give him the environment and backing that every captain needs..
Imagine a bowler like Jasprit Bumrah, who had a phenomenal T20 World Cup campaign, suddenly going wicketless in almost every match in IPL right after that. No wonder people started questioning what went wrong ?
This can't be just coincidence.
We all know that, next they will release Rishabh Pant.
The guy who looked destined to deliver 5–6 trophies was stripped of the captaincy after just one season. Peak franchise management masterclass. 😭😭
After this game, Ravi Bhai had to give him the belt treatment in the dressing room. He was absolutely fired up cos Kohli, due to friendship & camaraderie, never said anything to him & instead defended him in pressers every other game. Ravi Bhai had to step in and say, This won’t work. Winning or losing is a different matter, but not even trying to win is unacceptable. This is poor. He absolutely blasted him that day..
From the last few days, people have been obsessively hating on Anushka Sharma for the most ridiculous reasons imaginable, just because she openly practices her religion.
They have a problem with her wearing a tulsi mala and chanting Radha naam with a jap counter.
They are like - They (her & Kohli) have done bad things in the past, that's why they suddenly started visiting temples now.
Overly religious people are never good people.
There's something sinister about her, I just can't prove it.
If she visits Vrindavan, they call it a fake spirituality gimmick.
It feels like some people simply can't digest the fact that someone can openly follow Hinduism without disturbing anyone or seeking validation from others...
It's weird how choosing to practice one's faith has become enough for some people to start making assumptions, conspiracy theories, and character judgments.
I mean, get a life guys. How do all these things even become points of discussion ?
For Dhobi fans calling this fake and insisting Ravi could never call him out, this isn't some made-up theory mfers.
The excerpt comes directly from R. Sridhar's book. He was India's fielding coach and a member of the support staff who was present inside that dressing room.
The decider was in Headingley, and we had a team meeting the previous day. The entire squad was in attendance, including all members of the support staff, and I knew Ravi was going to make a strong point. He was at his loudest and fiercest as he said, No matter who you may be, there should not be another occasion when we lose a match not trying to win it. It will not happen under my watch. And if anyone does it, that will be the last bloody game of cricket they will play under my watch. You can lose a cricket game, no shame in that, but you will not lose like this.
MS was sitting right there in the front, and while Ravi’s words were meant for the team, his eyes were trained on MS. To the former skipper’s great credit, he didn’t flinch, he never broke eye contact with Ravi. He didn’t look here and there or fidget because one of his many admirable qualities is his ability to take the knocks, especially when he knows in his heart of hearts that he deserves them.
Mohit Sharma (via Cricbuzz live) :
It never really felt like Mumbai Indians played as a united team under Hardik Pandya.
MI probably believed that bringing Hardik as captain would change their fortunes, but the opposite seemed to happen. Despite having some of the best T20 resources in the world, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, and Hardik himself, the team often looked out of sync on the field.
The captaincy transition from Rohit to Hardik was far from ideal. Hardik received an unbelievable amount of hate and was even booed by his own home crowd.
It never felt like they were playing as a unit. There seemed to be groups within the team, and groupism never helps. It affects the dressing-room environment, makes players insecure of each other, and crushes team spirit.
This isn't a criticism of Hardik's ability. He's still one of the most valuable white-ball players in the world and remains irreplaceable in many ways. But when internal politics, uncertainty, and constant scrutiny surround a team, success becomes much harder to achieve.
If the reports about Hardik leaving MI are true, a fresh start could benefit everyone involved. A new franchise, a new environment, full backing from management, and most importantly, respect within the dressing room might help bring out the best version of him again.
This is nothing, my man survived this phase. Do all your negative PR.
Players scoring 200 runs are easily getting away. No articles on that by media outlets. But Kohli not shaking hands with Travis Head is presented as if he committed some crime.
God is watching everything. 🙏
